Breastfeeding Medicine of Northeast Ohio is dedicated to helping all breastfeeding. The goal is to have each mother achieve their own breastfeeding success. With a combination of medical and lactation support for parent and baby, the odds are heightened. They realize that sometimes you may need specialized medical knowledge and continue to work alongside you through all the hurdles you may face and follow-ups.
History of Breastfeeding Medicine of Northeast Ohio
Breastfeeding Medicine of Northeast Ohio started in 2008 by Ann M. Witt, MD, FABM, IBCLC. The goal was to offer breastfeeding mothers and children with a place to turn to when they needed questions answered, challenges or complications while on their breastfeeding journey. Now, they have worked with thousands of breastfeeding mothers from all over Northeast Ohio.
Evidence-Based Medicine in addition to a Commitment to Conducting Research
Dr. Witt envisioned a practice committed to evidence-based medicine and to continuous research. This vision has led her to conduct breastfeeding research and has become the first practice in the country to not only research but offer in-office Therapeutic Breast Massages. This treats engorgement, mastitis and clogged milk ducts.
