Flow With Meaning at Hope Yoga Fairview Park

The History of Hope Yoga Fairview Park

The journey to the birth of Hope Yoga Fairview Park started with a loss. Jackie and her sisters lost their father in 2013 prompting a trip to Bali. While on this trip, Jackie met yoga teachers Alicia Cheung & Oliver Rensch. This led to Jackie registering for their yoga teacher training. Her intention was not to become a teacher, but she did it for the experience. After over 200 hours of training, she knew this was what she was meant to do. A few years thereafter, she opened Hope in Fairview Park, the town where she was born and raised.

Now Jackie runs Hope Yoga in honor of Helen & Jim Walsh and it keeps their memory alive. Helen beat breast cancer but was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1996. When Helen came home to break the news to her family, she brought home a puppy with her and named it Hope. This was her way of showing her family she would not give up hope! Unfortunately, the cancer took her life in 1998. Hope lived until 2006 and continued to provide comfort and joy to the Walsh family. Jim fought several different cancers throughout the years but passed away in 2013.
